Based in Halesowen NDC Polipak offer a wide range of packaging solutions, polythene damp proofing and building accessories.
Following successful works at their site in Birmingham, they contacted Power Efficient Solutions to carry out an assessment of the electrical efficiency at their site in Halesowen.
After assessing the client’s data, we identified a poor power factor of 0.74 (lag) or 74% efficient and followed up with a site survey. During the survey we carried out supply analysis across a 7-day period and recommended a 300kVAr standard PFC unit be installed, to improve electrical efficiency, reduce amps at the main incoming switch (for future expansion plans) and realise the annual savings detailed above.
The installation was carried out across 2-days during normal working hours, with no disruption to the clients’ normal operations.
