Power Efficient Solutions carried out a free of charge desktop survey, which revealed the site was non-compliant with Power Factor legislation and significant ‘Reactive Charges’ were being applied by their energy supplier
After our detailed site survey, we recommended the introduction of Power Factor Correction equipment to their main incoming supply.
Our recommendations were implemented, and we installed a 200kVAr ‘Standard’ PFC unit. The Power Factor was improved dramatically to around 98%, leading to the complete removal of ‘Reactive Charges’ and a Return on Investment of 11 Months.
All work was carried out during normal working hours with no disruption to the clients’ normal operations, to realise the savings detailed below.
