Trivium Packaging was officially formed on October 29, 2019 through the merger of industry leaders Exal Corporation and Ardagh’s Global Food & Speciality business.
Thanks to a strong emphasis on sustainability, they were awarded an ‘A’ rating and supplier engagement leader from The Carbon Disclosure Project, in 2020 & 2021.
With energy efficiency clearly a priority they contacted Power Efficient Solutions to look at their electrical infrastructure and recommend any areas of improvement.
After carrying out an assessment of their historical data and visiting site we recommended they install Power Factor Correction, which would not only improve their carbon footprint but save significant energy spend.
We installed a ‘Standard’ 300kVAr PFC unit, during normal working hours and with no disruption to their normal operations and realised the savings detailed below.
They have since engaged with us regarding the installation of Solar PV at their site in Norwich, which we expect to complete in 2023.
